A Film Journal Begins
A small film club meets twice a month — we watch one film together and talk about it afterwards
Written by · 👽 MoonsupA small group of people who love films meets twice a month. Sometimes in someone's living room, sometimes in a small screening space — we pick one film, watch it together, and talk about it afterwards for a long time.
This journal is the notebook of that gathering. One entry per film, written slowly: where someone paused, where opinions split, what stayed in our heads until the next meeting.
Why write it down
Spoken conversation fades by the next morning. What remains is "it was good," but not what kind of good. So we write.
A film is watched once, but the words of the people who watched it with you are heard twice.
Who reads this
We don't write with an outside audience in mind. We write so we can open it again later, ourselves. But if someone happens to find the trace of another group having spent similar hours with the same film — that would be a fine thing.
Festival programmers, distributors, another small film group nearby — if you're curious about the tone in which we watch and talk about films, this journal is one answer.
The first film entry is coming soon.
